Sascha Hardegger joins Dufour Aerospace

March 31, 2021

Dufour Aerospace is pleased to announce that Sascha Hardegger will join the team as Chief Commercial Officer.

Sascha Hardegger arrives from Rega, the leading Swiss Air-Rescue service, for whom he has been working since 2009 as Head of Communications (2009-2015), Head of Helicopter Operations (2016-2020) and Director of the Innovation Program (since April 2020). Four years ago, Sascha Hardegger started Rega’s ambitious drone project aiming to develop a highly automated intervention drone and multiple support applications dedicated to finding missing persons in alpine areas.

“I am looking forward to contributing to such a dedicated and experienced team. Professional aviation will see major changes in the coming years, and Dufour’s approach is the most compelling I have seen. It is a great opportunity to support such a promising Swiss initiative,” says Sascha Hardegger.

After having completed his studies as political scientist at Zurich University, Sascha Hardegger has always been drawn to exciting topics and steep learning curves. He has worked as a journalist, in foreign missions for the Swiss army and as a spokesperson for the Federal Department of Justice and Police in Bern before joining Rega. Sascha Hardegger enjoys flying in all its dimensions, as a private pilot for single engine planes, as a glider pilot, a paragliding pilot or with remote-controlled helicopters or drones.

“I am delighted that a leader with such a proven track record has agreed to support Dufour Aerospace in a responsible management role. He complements our team perfectly in every respect,” says Thomas Pfammatter, CEO.
